As an operator of a high-pressure gas pipeline network, you must meet high legal requirements. Our experts ensure that your network complies according to DVGW Code of Practice G 466-1. We inspect your pipeline network directly on site and by helicopter from the air, conduct inspections of built-up areas, check important operating points and test valves that they move freely. We inspect construction measures executed out by other companies and take care that the documentation of all work carried out is complete.
We are specialised in pigging to accurately locate issues and then rectify them through maintenance measures. In order to maintain the value of your pipelines in the longterm and significantly reduce maintenance and repair works, we recommend our measures for preventing corrosion as part of terranet bw´s cathodic corrosion protection.
With regular inspection and monitoring, you can protect yourself from expensive operational disruptions, unauthorised construction work can be stopped in time and leaks can be identified and reparied early. Benefit from our competence, gained over many decades of monitoring high-pressure gas pipelines and systems. Save your own resources, both personnel and costs, with the terranets bw team.
Regularly maintaining your gas metering deivces helps you avoid incorrect measurements that are expensive. Just leave this task to our experienced team. Our experts are trained to work independently of the manufacturers and are happy to carry out all the work involved in maintaining your metering systems – from commissioning to repair service.
We take care of installing and commissioning volume correctors, maximum load metering and recording devices (HBA) as well as station control devices and carrying out technical audits.
Let us support you with our comprehensive expertise and decades of experience.
As state-recognised test centre for gas metering devices, we also offer official measures, providing you with all services related to your metering systems - your one-stop service partner, making your systems safe and reliable.

Even small defects in the coating of your gas pipelines can result in considerable corrosion damage. With our cathodic corrosion protection, you actively prevent corrosion of your gas pipelines and maintain the value of your pipleines longterm. You also significantly reduce your maintenance works on the network.
Cathodic corrosion protection is an effective and widely used procedure in which the rate of corrosion on underground, metal objects is reduced to a minimum by using direct current. terranets bw has been operating corrosion protection equipment since 1967. Using modern data transmission technology, we can quickly and reliably detect impairments and install corrosion protection systems more efficiently.
Benefit from our extensive experience – we offer an advisory service that is independent of manufacturers. We can draw up a non-binding concept that is individually tailored to your network.
Monitoring and control of gas networks is one of our core competencies. Best quality, absolute safety and one hundred percent availability are our daily benchmarks. This is also what our customers benefit from. We are a reliable partner for the monitoring and control of networks. Our experts ensure the highest levels of efficiency and safety around the clock, every day.
As a network operator, you are responsible for the 24/7 availability and permanent monitoring and control of your network. You must be available for customer calls or failure reports at all times. To comply with these stipulations according to the Energy Industry Act (EnWG) and DVGW G 2000 Code of Practice, it is necessary to maintain a large team of employees.
Benefit from our know-how and over 60 years of experience in network operation. Our experts take on the monitoring and control of your network which, thanks to cutting-edge IT and control systems, are efficient and safe. We are also available for your customers as a competent point of contact, around the clock.
More than two thirds of all natural gas fuel stations in Baden-Württemberg already rely on our services for maintenance. And for good reason: We react fast and offer you a comprehensive, individual service that is independent of manufacturers. This includes maintenance according to manufacturer specifications, 24/7 availability, failure rectification (second-level support), support for recalibrating the metering stations as well as supply of required spare parts. Our services also include coordination of work carried out by manufacturers of systems, fuelling pumps and billing systems.
To meet these special requirements, our specialists are professionally trained and further qualified as technical experts according to DVGW G 651 and G 498 in intensive training courses in cooperation with the DVGW and the manufacturers. Benefit from our know-how for absolute security of supply.
Cold cutting is an important machining process for maintenance measures, repairs, removal of damaged parts, construction works and prefabrications.
Our team is professionally trained and has the best qualifications for the complicated cutting process. We use cold cutting technology within the scope of explosion protection – avoiding sparks and minimising discolouration as well as environmental pollution. Piping such as steel pipes or cement-exposed pipes with diameters of 250 mm to 1,500 mm and maximum wall thickness of 25 mm can be cut cleanly and accurately in explosion-hazardous areas with our pipe cutter. The FEIN RSG/RDG 1500 pipe cutter and the addionally used equipment are state-of-the-art technology, especially designed for works in explosion-hazardous areas and they are regularly tested.
Before the actual cutting process, terranets bw does a comprehensive risk assessment of the pipe section in order to derive resulting measures. There must be a working space of at least 50 cm around the pipe during the cutting process.
Do you wish to have support for operating your gas facilities? terranets bw meets all the necessary qualification and organisational requirements according to DVGW Code of Practice G 1000. We are happy to take on the technical operational management of your facilities for you.
We guarantee compliance to and observation of the respectively applicable legal requirements, regulations and standards, the recognised rules of technology, in particular the DVGW Code of Practice and the corresponding technical safety and environmental regulations.
As part of technical operational management, we take on in particular proper and professional planning, evaluation, decision-making, organisation, implementation, documentation and control of all measures that are required. We keep you regularly and promptly informed on the condition of your facilities, on the works carried out and on measures required in the future.

For precision localisation of findings in the pipelines, we are specialised in the process of pigging in order to subsequently rectify the detected findings by means of repair works.
The pipeline pig is used as an inspection device for localising defects in pipelines such as bulges, corrosion spots or corrosion clusters. The so-called cleaning pig serves to do preparatory work and is deployed as a cleaning device to remove, for example, dust or other pipe contents. The cleaning effect and subsequent intelligent pipeline inspection (pigging) ensures that constantly high pipeline efficiency is maintained.
For pipelines that are unsuitable for pigging (depending on pipeline diameter), so-called non-piggable pipelines, terranets bw offers you a solution: intensive defect measuring and defect localisation of the coating. We also enable you to carry out your own pigging process - by means of mobile pigging launchers/receivers for rent for launching and retrieving pipeline pigs. We also rent out mobile natural gas filters as well as pipe connections and bridges.
